ControllerMate Basics

To begin customizing the operation of your controllers, start the “ControllerMate” application. Use building blocks and/or controller configurations as described in these pages to modify your controller’s behavior, then save and quit ControllerMate.

When “ControllerMate” quits, the background application “ControllerMate Helper” will analyze your new settings. It will then begin handling events from your controllers according to your settings. Depending upon the complexity of your programming, it may take a moment for the helper application to begin handling your controllers.

While “ControllerMate” is running, you can test the operation of your programming as you edit. Most changes take effect immediately. Also, you can undo and redo most changes. If you inadvertently make a change, “undo” will usually get you back to where you want to be.

Explore the contents of these pages to learn more about how to program with ControllerMate.
