I've been using controller mate for a while and have no problems programming USB controllers but I am wondering if I can do something with my Euphonix 8 channel mixer over MIDI.

I basically just want some of the unused buttons on the mixer to be keystrokes if possible.

4 ports of the mixer are seen in controllermate but if I press any of the buttons on the mixer nothing lights up in the controller pallete like it does when you hit a usb key on a keyboard or usb controller.

Does that mean it can't be done?

Thanks

Do you know what type of MIDI messages those buttons generate?

If they generate common note or controller MIDI messages, then ControllerMate should see them on one of the ports. If they generate a SysEx message, then ControllerMate will ignore it.
