Elgato Stream Deck Support? Thu Aug 24, 2017 11:39 pm  •   #11557

I'm wondering if anyway has looked into the Elgato Stream Deck.
Its a nice, cheapish 3x5 button pad with a screen behind the buttons.
The software it comes with is rudimentary but does allow dragging and dropping of commands to each button. Its primarily aimed at gamers but allows you to drop commands for on/off switches assigned to a keyboard, opening applications/files and sending hotkeys.
That said if there was a way to switch to using controller mate instead it would make for a nice improvement.

I have looked at this device out of personal curiosity, but haven't had anyone ask about it before this. Have you tried this device with ControllerMate to see if the two are compatible? I'm curious to know if ControllerMate sees it as an input device.

I just sent a support request off to Elgato to see if they have developer information available to allow 3rd parties to add compatibility with their devices.

Any news regarding this? I am interested in using it with controllermate, especially if you could incorporate visual feedback.

Hi Ken,
I got one today and got this far (check screenshot link) but none of the input blocks or anything flash when I send key commands from stream deck.. I'm guessing that's all that would talk to Controllermate. I wish they would implement OSC or midi but almost all of it in the configuration tool is set up for streaming apps like Twitch and Youtube. The group that's open in the screen cap here seemed to be the only thing to try to talk to CM.

I hope you can get it working or maybe it does and you have something to suggest I try to help me figure out? This controller is absolutely amazing, been waiting for this technology to be so affordable for so long.
